The Village of Palmetto Bay is a thriving community of more than 25,000 residents that are proud to call its beautiful surroundings and family-friendly atmosphere home. Incorporated in 2002, the Village of Palmetto Bay is the 33rd incorporated municipality in Miami-Dade County. The Village extends from SW 136th Street, south to SW 184th Street, west to the South Dixie Highway, including the center island, and east to Biscayne Bay. Palmetto Bay is comprised of land formerly held by Cutler and East Perrine.
Families with school age children know that Palmetto Bay is home to a roster of outstanding public schools, all of which have annually earned and “A” rating under the State of Florida’s A+ Plan. There are also many exceptional private schools in the area.
Palmetto Bay Village residents enjoy the benefits of an extensive park system made up of six different park facilities offering a wide range of recreational opportunities. From active to passive activities ranging from recreation to preservation, residents can choose from dozens of land or water based activities. And there is exciting news around the bend- Palmetto Bay residents will soon be enjoying a brand new neighborhood library!

In 2012, the Village celebrates its 10th anniversary as an incorporated municipality. Over its first decade in existence, Palmetto Bay has succeeded in building a community with a distinct character and identity. Residents are proud of Palmetto Bay’s beautiful new street signs, numerous traffic and beautification projects, access to top flight government services, a modern police force, and improving (and expanding) park facilities that have earned Palmetto Bay the nickname "The Village of Parks."
